Iji Kataiser is the main character in her titular game, Iji. Iji is a tall brown-haired woman wearing dark cargo shorts along with a green sleeveless top. She is also equipped with a nanofield and carries a Tasen Shotgun that can be combined with other weapons for added variety.

When the game resumes, months later, Iji awakens to find that she has been modified by a team of researchers using alien nanotechnology, making her a cyborg soldier. Via a loudspeaker, her brother Dan explains that the area was struck by a space-to-ground weapon called an “Alpha Strike” wielded by aliens called “Tasen”.
