2023年3月4日 · As anarchism offers a fairly alegal framework to begin with, I see illegalism as being more of a reminder to the more dominant tendencies of anarchism of the radical autonomy and direct action found in using illegal means as a way to make a living rather than begging or taking a job, as opposed to being an anarchist tendency that developed out of a traditionally legalist anarchism.

2022年3月2日 · I think illegalism is really powerful, we spend so much time being raised to believe that if we do something that breaks the law we will be caught. And we often won't be in reality. The cop in our head that makes us feel like we will be caught and we can't do that, makes direct action feel scarier then it needs to.

2016年1月6日 · Illegalism today pretty much does nothing to forward the cause (if the cause is abolishing the state). On an individual level though, I don't think there's anything wrong with it. The only problem I have is that it alienates a lot of people who might otherwise be on board.

2016年8月16日 · Illegalism causes chaos if it's not coordinated. States are essentially highly organized illegalist networks. Certainly then illegalism can further a cause. Causing chaos for the state can be a beneficial revolutionary tactic, if you have a way to mitigate the negative effects of the chaos against your peers.

2012年9月7日 · Organized class struggle and illegalism aren't as separate as you make them out to be. Victor Serge was in the Bonnot gang and served in the Comintern. Sacco and Vanzetti were Galleanists and were also supported by the labor movement. My own namesake certainly supported both mass organized class struggle and individual insurrectionary actions.
