IMR 4320, what's the best use | Sniper's Hide Forum
2008年2月15日 · It is a great powder. I have plenty of it for a rainy day. 223 with heavies like 77 and 80gr. 243Win with mid weights, fantastic in my 243. 308 and even 30-06 can be made to go bang. It is actually a very versatile powder. Lets face it, we are now entering a time when you will judge the quality of your load by sound alone.
Replacement for IMR 4320? - The Firearms Forum
2022年1月27日 · I've been having great success with Alliant Reloder 15, which is adjacent to IMR 4320 in the table of powder relative burn velocity in the 49th Lyman handbook. It tends to be difficult to find, though, so I stock up when I can get it. Make a list of the powders that are recommended for what you load, and carry the list when hunting for powder.
IMR4320 for 308, sure, why not. | Sniper's Hide Forum
2011年3月29日 · IMR 4320 is an overlooked powder with today's 308 Winchester shooters. IMR 4320 has short kernels and meters well. It's a great substitute powders when other, more popular powders are difficult to find. It's slightly slower than 4064 …
IMR 4320 Discontinued - The Firearms Forum
2022年5月25日 · Sorry to hear IMR 4320 has been discontinued - I used it many years ago for .30-06 hunting loads and it was amazing with 165 grain SPBT bullets. I understand IMR 4198 is a usable powder for .223. I prefer H335 - but that's just me. Sounds like it's time for you to get current reloading manuals (if they are as old as your powder and primers).
Which IMR Powder? | Sniper's Hide Forum
2009年11月9日 · On my burn rate chart, IMR 4198 is the fastest, considerably faster than your fav 4064. Then comes 3031, still faster by a good margin. Then comes your 4064, and finally IMR 4320 which is immediately below Varget on the burn rate chart. Good luck.
IMR 4320 - .223 | Sniper's Hide Forum
2009年3月30日 · Re: IMR 4320 - .223 I guess a lot depends upon the measure. I ran some tests with a Redding, a Lyman, and a Dillon. With 4895 or Varget they all were within +/- .2 gr. With RL 19, the Redding and Lyman were the same but the Dillon would bridge about 3 time out of 5. Interesting, but frustrating.

2013年7月18日 · I have also use IMR 4320 in a bolt action Marlin XL7 using 168 grn SMKBT bullets with 44 grains of powder and have gotten really phenominal groups. IMR 4320 is the most underrated powder in the IMR family. It performs well and from what I have read about it, it was the belle of the ball at the National Matches years ago.

2014年3月30日 · IMR-4895 IMR-4320 RL15 IMR-4064 AA-2495 AA-4064 Tac AA-2520 BLC-2 I haven't tried CFE, had extreme pressure issues with MR-2000. Acutally, all of the ball powders I've tried, I've had pressure issues with higher temps but less with Tac than the others. For .223, the same powders except 4064's of both varieties.
Use IMR 4320 for 260 Remington? | Sniper's Hide Forum
2013年4月16日 · Does anyone have any load data for IMR 4320 and the 260 Rem. I'm putting together a new rifle in 260, never loaded for it before. With H4350 impossible to find right now, I need to use what I've got available. I have Varget and IMR 4320 on hand. I'm looking at ordering some Lapua Scenar 139s, Berger 140s, Hornady 123 SST, and Barnes 127s to try ...
Hodgdon 4350 vs. IMR 4350 | Sniper's Hide Forum
2010年3月31日 · Re: Hodgdon 4350 vs. IMR 4350 Yes. The H4350 is a temp insenstive powder. From winter time to summer time, you will notice a velocity/pressure change in your load with some of the IMR powders. I love the IMR powders, especially IMR4350. But a hot/fast load developed in the winter time will be a HOT load in the summer time.
