They are optional connections that attach the JB4 to the wastegate actuators on each turbo. By attaching directly in this way the JB4 is able to increase or decrease WGDC in a dynamic way to improve boost targeting.

Connecting wires to the JB4 Harness Find #17 on the FEMALE side of the gray sub-connector. Remove this wire completely by releasing it from both female & male ends of the gray sub-connector.

The new EWG connections allow the JB4 to directly add and subtract wastegate duty cycle (WGDC) from the wastegates providing additional tuning flexibility. Most useful for modified vehicles that are having problems targeting boost properly and will also improve boost response, spool up, shifting performance, and overall feel.

The primary JB4 connections are to the white MAP sensors under the hood. The location varies a bit by model but the one with 4 wires is mounted on the intake manifold and the one with 3 wires is mounted on the chargepipe leading into the throttle body. Note some older JB4 systems are missing the white sensor adapters.
