JBI’s Evidence-based Practice Database is an online resource for healthcare professionals to rapidly access the best available evidence on a wide range of clinical topics at the point of care, including 5000+ JBI Evidence Summaries, Recommended Practices and Best Practice Information Sheets.

The new PRISMA 2020 reflects a key milestone in the ongoing evolution of evidence synthesis. In JBI's 25 years of existence, there have been considerable leaps and advancements in the methodology, processes, and tools used to conduct systematic reviews. For many review types, JBI has been at the forefront of these methodological developments.

JBI’s critical appraisal tools assist in assessing the trustworthiness, relevance and results of published papers. These tools have been revised. Recently published articles detail the revision.

JBI regards evidence-based healthcare as a cyclical process: global healthcare needs, as identified by clinicians or patients/consumers, are addressed through the generation of research evidence that is effective, but also feasible, appropriate and meaningful to specific populations, cultures and settings.
