I’m looking to get a lower bass response from the 2225H. From all my research I have gathered the following: 2225H (2235H with diff cone/surround) - 40 hz 2234H (2235H without mass ring) - 23 hz 2235H (mass ring) - 20 hz I would prefer not to re-cone as I prefer cloth surrounds.

Do you think the JBL, 2225H can be used for this, will it sound good in a hifi setup, that reason i ask is that i think this woofer are designed for more concert use than hifi, but what is your take on this, and if not good, what specs shall i look for in a good woofer for hifi?

Will need a speaker that can handle the strong lows of the organ but also be nice for the bass guitars midrange with smooth highs. Also considering one 18 and one 15. Each cabinet will be powered using 60-125 tube watts. Looking into the JBL: 2225h, E-145, E-140 , E-151 Would be very interested in your thoughts and suggestions.

2012年3月21日 · 2225A vs 2205H vs 2225H I was looking at specs sheet for those three drivers. What jumpe to my face was the different Fs values. 30Hz for the 2205 and 40Hz for the 2225.

2024年3月11日 · One last question, I'm looking at the pictures, the picture on the left is the JBL 2225H recone kit and on the right is the JBL 2235H. If you look at the Voice coil pictures, one is higher than the other. Does it matter and is there anything special I need to think about when I mount the recone kit

Besides the "non JBL issue, (which should be despositive of th issue) I dont believe the 2235H non JBL recones come with the mass ring like the genuine JBL cone does. So if this is the case and you are reconing an old 2235H, pirate the mass ring from the old cone.
