2231H, 2225H and 2235H - audioheritage.org
The 2225 is a higher efficiency model with reduced VLF performance and the 2235 is an evolution of the 2231H. The 2231H was an attempt to build a ferrite 2231A. It didn't take long before the transducer engineers at JBL got a better handle on ferrite …

Woofer Comparisons 2215 vs 2235 - audioheritage.org
The 2235 would be the best choice for an L300 clone. The 2235 can be used higher,up to 1K than the 2215H and it goes lower as well. The recommended replacement for the 2215H, that could be crossed higher and give a similar low end response, would be the 2234. The 2234 is a 2235 without the mass ring. Rob
2035 vs 2226 - audioheritage.org
2009年3月4日 · All I can tell you is the 2226 series is a heck of a lot more speaker than the 2035. I imagine JBL's sole reason for using the 2035 is that 90% of its, (2035), users don't need the capabilities of the 2226, so why make a cabinet that's more expensive than they need, if it means they won't buy it?

JBL 2225H with Mass Ring to 2235H or 2234H - audioheritage.org
Sd = 890 cm^3 (I used JBL's 2235H specs) Bl = 19.695 Tesla*meter ETA = 0.94% Lp = 93.01 db (2.83 V / 1 M) Mms = 171.03 g Rms = 2.9194 kg / sec Cms = 0.2842 mm / N Thoughts: fs is perfect. Vas / Cms is also very good, and lowers input power for my application. Qts is somewhat higher than expected but I'll check later tonight whether the range is OK.
Jbl 2234 vs 2235 - audioheritage.org
2015年3月1日 · If you replace the 4435's specified 2234's with 2235's, JBL T-S params show you will lose 2dB sensitivity at 1W, correspondingly more at listening levels. You could turn down the horn a bit to compensate. Boxes are tuned for 2234's 23Hz fs not 2235's 20Hz so may sound noticeably different. The 2234's do sound good in that speaker!
JBL 2235h vs. JBL E-145 - audioheritage.org
And the 2235 does not benefit from a bigger box in the same way as the E145. Both drivers are (in practice) not xmax-limited in normal alignements, and the E145 has about 3dB more bass output for the same input due to its higher sensitivity. Plus an underhung voice-coil with excellent linearity. No wonder JBL used this in the Everest DD55000.
feedback on cabinet design for 2235 - audioheritage.org
2006年1月16日 · hi, I am trying to design some new cabinets for my 2235 drivers. I know the JBL enclosure guide gives measurements, but I would like non-parallel walls and I like my horn at ear height. The standard JBL recommended size does not allow that.
Best 12" or 15" JBL for hi-fi - audioheritage.org
IMO the 2235 is the best all round 15" driver that JBL used to make. Get some decent 2225 frames and get them reconed as a 2235 and you will be very happy. The 128 is still available from JBL new and it is also a superb driver that has been in production for 30+ years.
