The trick to killing Jad is to identify which attack is being thrown your way and use the correct protection prayer to prevent it. Jad’s attacks are easily identifiable both by the animation and the sound that they make. If you can identify the attack and activate the correct protection prayer quickly, Jad’s attack will always hit 0.

Gear for Jad is pretty self-explanatory. You want to max out on ranged attack bonus and prayer bonus. This means that a blessed d’hide set is recommended over a regular d’hide set or even Karil’s armour. Armadyl armor is best in slot.

The higher your Defence level, the less you need protective gear like Karil's leathertop or leatherskirt. Wearing the full Void Knight set , yields a 10% bonus to damage and 10% to accuracy. It requires 42 Attack, Strength , Defence, Ranged, Magic, Hitpoints and 22 Prayer.

TzTok-Jad is the boss monster of the TzHaar Fight Cave, and is encountered on Wave 63 (the final wave). This is the only place where Jad can be found. Once TzTok-Jad is reached, fighting and defeating him requires decent skill and reflexes.

Completing the Fight Caves involves fighting through 62 waves of progressively more difficult combinations of monster spawns before taking on the final boss, Tz-Tok Jad. If the player tries to log out in the cave, the game will log them out at the end of the ongoing wave.

Dwelling in the TzHaar Fight Cave as the final boss, Jad is one of the strongest monsters in the game. This boss must be defeated in order to receive the Fire Cape. Protection Prayers are wholly recommended.
