El monte Jaizquíbel [1] (en euskera Jaizkibel) se encuentra en la provincia de Guipúzcoa, en el País Vasco, España. Está situado junto al mar Cantábrico, al oeste de la desembocadura del río Bidasoa. En su falda están las ciudades de Fuenterrabía, Irún, Pasajes, Rentería y Lezo.

The mountain range of Jaizkibel is a popular hiking destination in Gipuzkoa. There are over 23 km of moderately challenging, hiking trails running between the towns of Lezo and Pasaia to the west and Hondarribia to the east.

Desde San Juan y su cala Alabortza, a través de la Bantxa del Este o Cresta del Gallo llegamos a una cumbre redonda de grandes vistas sobre Oarsoaldea, Larun, la Peña de Aia, San Sebastián, Ulia… Y cómo no, las laderas vertiginosas de Jaizkibel.

2025年2月27日 · This beautiful route starts at the Monastery of Guadalupe until reaching the Jaizkibel mountain, near the border between France and Spain, from where it is possible to enjoy excellent views of the Cantabrian Sea and the bay of Txingudi.

There is no doubt that the Jaizkibel is a very attractive road to drive and is certainly a good alternative to the motorway between Hondarribia and San Sebastián. It is a road with lots of twists and turns, but isn’t difficult at all.

Sin embargo, su cercanía a la costa hace que parezca una tremenda cordillera tibetana, a lo cual contribuyen sin duda sus empinados caminos y sus espectaculares acantilados.
