2021年10月22日 · Remember that some of those schools (Trinity at least) have preschools, so there are fewer openings in K simply by virtue of that. JATP scores are only one factor that schools look at. Observations and teacher recs are equally important and if it's true that your 4-year old is as advanced as you are saying, that will show up on those.

2013年12月9日 · The JATP is an IQ test (which one it is depends on your child's age). IQ tests are necessary, but not sufficient, in order to detect learning disabilities. Most full psychoeducational evaluations take numerous hours of face-to-face testing. JATP is considered a screener for cognitive abilities.

2016年10月12日 · The other two have done well, but it seems the JATP has been a pretty good indicator of natural ability. I wouldn’t say it makes sense to ding schools who use it. Shouldn’t be the sole basis for admissions decisions, but it does provide an even playing field for all applicants since preschools vary very widely in academic rigor, material, etc.
