Jessi Taylor is the secondary protagonist of Kyle XY. She began as a second Zzyzx experiment known as 781228 XX. With a gestation period and programmed development similar to 781227, she too has extraordinary abilities. When she was created, and how she was prepared and used at Zzyzx are not revealed.

Jessi (Jaimie Alexander) is introduced in the second season. She arrives in the world in the same way as Kyle but shows a very different personality. About a day after Jessi is "born" she is found by one of MadaCorp's employees, Emily, then they give her a life-full of false memories that include Jessi being Emily's sister.

In the XY series, Jessie is shown to be capable of showing love. As seen in one episode when she and her Wobbuffet were saved by Dr. White and his female Wobbuffet from drowning into a river, she falls in love with him, going so far as to work as his assistant in her Jessilia disguise.

During a charity event, Kyle tries to bond with Jessi. He helps her retrieve her memories, and both are surprised at what they are. Amanda sees them together in a way that makes her think Kyle is like Charlie.

As Jessie, James, and Meowth are plotting yet again to steal Pikachu, they are interrupted by two mysterious figures: a hooded woman known only as Madame X, and Malamar, a Pokémon with incredible hypnotic powers. Jessie and James quickly fall under its spell, but Meowth manages to escape—and runs right into our heroes!
