2018年2月25日 · JRI 7- medium in size and a good all around jig. Like a smaller version of the JRI 4. Can cast far and a medium fast retrieve has worked well with this jig. A little faster action than the JRI 4 but not as fast as the others, but a formidable weapon to have in your arsenal. Very popular for local waters and around the weeds.

2013年7月28日 · Luc, the owner and chartermaster gave everybody on the trip a JRI surface iron in various colors and EVERYBODY that was thowing iron absolutely killed the yellows at Benitos. Luc was a madman throwing iron and lost at least a half dozen JRI jigs to sea lions, sawoffs, got rocked once etc.

2017年10月26日 · I stuck with the long Rod and again the JRI Surface Irons proved to be deadly on the now boat shy Wahoo. A long cast and steady retrieve was the winning ticket, and the prize was an exciting show of boils and blow ups on the surface as they chased, slashed, snapped, and hit the JRI Surface Irons. The visuals were just INSANE!!!.

2018年1月6日 · The JRI-4 has a bit more mass, and can really get out there (especially with my UC Del Mar rod) and every one I have swims. As for breakage, Jerry addressed that with a slight re-design to to 4 giving it a thicker portion at the front ring, though the original jig it was based on (Fenwick 410) has a very thin margin.

2016年3月31日 · Guys who like to toss the 7x, I then reccomend the JRI-4. Both the JRI-4 and JRI-7 are medium retrieve jigs. The widest kicking jig is the JRI-3. It also has the flat back which is excellent for skip jigging. That too is the size of a tady 45 or candybar 112. The JRI-5 which is my biggest surface iron is also excellent for skip jigging.

2018年10月9日 · They've worked well for decades and are cheaper than the JRI's. I do love the heavy 6 and 66's over 6xJr and 6X. I had 2 JRI 4's break at the hole in the jig where the hook attaches. On my recent 10 day I had a fish bend out the hook on a JRI 4 and had the ring fail and loose the hook on a JRI 66 so that I reel in a jig without a hook.

2017年2月21日 · JRI K/O 6J is the smaller drop version for lighter drift/current conditions.. Next will be the JRI 6 made of brass with similar size to the K/O 6J but a bit heavier due to the material. The new K/O 6 will be a bit longer and heavier and will be a similar shape to the existing JRI 66 but from lighter material and should be ready for the show.
