It was powered by a Jumo 211B-1 engine, and had a maximum speed of 301 mph (485 km/h). The range was 1,522 miles (2,450 km) and had a service ceiling of 22,300 ft (6,800 m). The Ju 88V7 (Ju 88C) would be the first Zerstörer, or heavy fighter, and was armed with two 151 MG cannons and two MG 17 machine guns housed in a solid nose.
