K-Band - an overview | ScienceDirect Topics
Ku band. 1. A band of microwave frequencies between 11 and 13 GHz. 2. Also called K band. A band of frequencies that extends from 11.7 to 12.7 GHz. The band is separated into two portions: 11.7 to 12.2 GHz (fixed satellite services — intended for point-to-point services) and 12.2 to 12.7 GHz (for broadcasting satellite service or DBS). 3.
Synthesis of a lightweight and dual-band (K and Ka-band) …
2025年1月1日 · In this work, the CoFe 2 O 4 /MC hybrid nanocomposites have been synthesized by a facile hydrothermal method. The microwave absorbing performance of CoFe 2 O 4 /MC hybrid nanocomposites was investigated in K and Ka-band (18–40 GHz) frequency, taking into account the use of these two bands in satellite communications, radars, military, aircraft, and radio communications.
Broadband metamaterial absorber for stealth applications at K-band
2023年10月1日 · As depicted in Fig. 2, a single ladder patch is yielding more than 90% narrow-band absorption response with peaks at 13 and 15 GHz; however, the absorptivity is poor at the K band. After the insertion of a 90°-rotated ladder-shaped structure, the absorption peaks at lower frequencies remain unchanged while the absorption performance increases ...
Investigation of Ba0.85La0.15Fe12-2x(CoTi)xO19/CuO composites …
2025年3月1日 · The rectangular pellet of size 10.67 mm x 4.32 mm and sample thickness of 1.5 mm was prepared to exactly fit into rectangular waveguides WR-42 (K-band) (Fig. 10 (a)). The variation of reflection loss with respect to frequency for the synthesized samples in K-band is shown in Fig. 10 (b) with sample thickness of 1.5 mm. It has been observed that ...
An antenna with second - ScienceDirect
2024年12月1日 · The proposed antenna responds to a large frequency spectrum ranging from 3.2 GHz to 22.67 GHz with the lowest return loss value of −18.743 dB. It also gives two peaks at 3.9 GHz and 16.1 GHz. However, the proposed antenna exhibits a good agreement of bandwidth to be compatible with UWB, X-band, K u band, and K-band applications.
Stacked lightweight metasurfaces for wider stopband in X-K band
2023年6月1日 · A change in the in-plane and out-of-plane shift helps in achieving ultra-wide stopband width of 8.96 GHz spanning over X-band to K-band with just 3 layers, along with the possibility to attain dual usage as a passband or stopband filter at different frequencies. A stopband width of 34.80% is achieved using a single layer.
K-band CMOS voltage-controlled oscillator using tail current …
2024年2月1日 · A K-band CMOS VCO with the current source modulating with half the output frequency is proposed to improve both the phase noise and output power. The switched biasing technique of the differential current source using half the frequency of the output signal reduces the effect of the flicker noise introduced by the current source.
K-band capacitive MEMS switches on GaAs substrate: Design, …
2012年9月1日 · Shunt capacitive RF MEMS switches operating in K-band were developed with a GaAs III–V fabrication process that is fully compatible with standard MMIC production. Insertion losses better than 0.8 dB, isolations greater than 30 dB with resonance frequencies in K-band, and C on / C off ratios between 12 and 16 were measured for switches with ...
Analysis and design of K-band low-phase-noise differential DCOs ...
2023年6月1日 · This paper presents two K-band low-phase-noise digitally controlled oscillators (DCOs) with a frequency tuning range (FTR) of more than 20% for 76–81 GHz automotive radars. The proposed triple-bank DCO (T-DCO) relies on the medium-tuning and fine-tuning banks to cover the linear chirp band, thus facing the issues of complex frequency ...
Resistive ink based polarization and incident angle independent ...
2024年10月1日 · The wide band response at K U and K frequency bands achieved by a special resistive ink on a single-layered thin FR-4 substrate is what makes the proposed absorber novel and suitable for RCS reduction in stealth technology at Ku and K bands. The proposed design using resistive ink shows a significant reduction in both material and fabrication ...
