It is a “Vanderbilt” style tender, meaning it has a cylindrical water tank rather than the more common square water tank design. The 759 is listed as being scrapped in Feb 1952 at the KCS shops in Pittsburg, KS during "The Great Eradication of Steam". 759's Vanderbilt tender appears to have been repurposed and subsequently survivied, though without its brakeman cab.

Actually the GTW 8374 was bought & moved to Geneva, Nebraska back in 2006. I have seen photos of it reassembled. I always planned on visiting it but have not made it yet. GTW 8374 must be restored and put on display inside a building near the Grand Trunk Western railroad tracks somewhere in Michigan or Indiana.
