KCs is a tiny little red hut in the middle of Douglas with ginormous queues at lunchtime, serving a strange mix of Irish chipper and Mexican taco truck food. Hard to get to - had to sneaky park at the garage across the way. On offer: pitas done about 15 different ways, hamburgers, and other curiosities (...enchiladas!).

The best chipper in Cork hands down! This place is a little more imaginative than your average chip shop with a variety of pittas that include flavours from all over the world. When I worked nearby, my colleagues and I had a weekly tradition of visiting KCs for a giant takeaway!

My favourites are the King Creole, Steak Sandwich and good chips. If you have not eaten here put it on your Bucket list. The Transylvanian burger is amazing and the Polynesian is to die for p.s. the queues can be crazy but it is sooooo worth it !
