2020年5月11日 · The R5 is effectively on a different branch to the R7 and R11. R3, R7 and R11 all use the large woofers, are the same width, and are clearly following a linear progression. R5 is an alternative design which takes the opportunity to make something really slim with woofers no bigger than the Uni-Q.

2022年6月30日 · The R5 is quite a bit larger, and both R3 and R5 have a generation newer Uni-Q. You will need a sub with the R500 for home theater. The R500 is a fine speaker, but if for the same money you can get the R3, I would do that.

I auditioned the KEF R5 and R7 and am deciding between them. I'm having a hard time deciding on how to drive them. Usage - 90% music, 10% tv/movies.

2020年5月18日 · KEF R5 are $3K/pr at Best Buy where you'd have 15 days to return. I know that accessories4less has refurbs for $2K/pr but good luck ever trying to return them. That would allow you to do a head to head comparison with others, like the Wharfedale Evo at $1800/pr with $75 flat rate return shipping.

The 85F, considered the sweet spot in the line up, is the same price (MSRP) as the R5. The R7 is more the equivalent.
