2018年3月2日 · Kingdom Hearts III will hopefully be the Final Fantasy IX of the series. While yes a majority of those games are spinoffs, they’re all cannon even if some of them retcon some stuff. This meme is more of a “well actually” sort of joke that’s clever, but not necessarily funny. I recently complained about Tidus in my Final Fantasy X comics piece.

2021年10月7日 · Is KH Funny to You? I was reflecting on a question asked on another sub about what game/series made you laugh the most and immediately I thought of KH. I’ve played the all in one, 3, and Re mind and I’ve never laughed more in a game series. I’m not sure everything was intentionally funny but I loved it. Anyone else?

Kingdom Hearts is the series that truly takes “plot” to another dimension. Think about this: in a media landscape where we have sprawling sagas of countless Marvel movies and fantasy series, their collective plots still make more sense than Sora’s wacky Disney adventures. And yet… you just can’t help but go back for more.

It's definitely a darker kind of humor, but there's something funny about how the triumphant music abruptly cuts off as Xemnas casually catches Axel's Keyblade in mid-swing.

With both Disney and Square Enix being involved, it's inevitable that Kingdom Hearts is going to have some top notch comedy. Even with the series becoming Darker and Edgier with every subsequent game, it still manages to get a few laughs out of the players.
