2023年7月31日 · This weekend my wife and I went back to my old stomping grounds of Salina, KS for the KKOA Leadsled Spectacular! It's been a very mild summer in Kansas this year, mid 80's to mid 90's all since about the start of June... until last week. 10-12 days of near or over 100... of course because it's KKOA time!

2017年7月26日 · Heading down Hwy 70 going West yesterday morning on my way to this year's 37th Annual KKOA Leadsled, was about 40 Miles from KC, got off at the "Oak Grove" Exit going up that hill to get gas. That's when it happened: Brakes went out on me altogether...pedal to the floor...no stopping for anything.

2023年7月31日 · The late Kim Johnson and his wife Nancy Own this 40 Merc Convertible. Nancy from Council Bluffs Iowa let Mike and his dad from Omaha drive the 40 to Salina. It will then go into the City Of Salina`s Car Museum where there is a wing dedicated for the KKOA. I need to go, but haven`t taken the time from my busy weekends at the show.

The show fit nicely in the small, mostly shaded park, looking back now I see a lot of cars that are owned by strangers then that are friends now.

2013年7月19日 · GENE PIERCE - Fellow KKOA member James Fine felt compelled to notify the KKOA about a unsung hero living in his hometown of South Bend Indiana, and nominate him for a possible induction into the KKOA Hall of Fame. After researching Gene, KKOA has found that he's not the kind of guy who toots his own horn, but his works speaks for himself.

2023年9月23日 · The recreation of KKOA Hall of Famer Darryl Starbird`s T-Bird was there. He was signing autographs and selling his books all weekend. I attended his 90`th birthday party that was held after the Hall of Famers awards presentation which was held on Saturday night. It`s usually held on Friday night. The music was too loud, so I didn`t stay to long.
