2024年2月23日 · The RF model is the only smaller-frame motorcycle on the market with full-size wheels. (21-inch front, 18-inch rear). Off-road, this is a huge advantage for getting over rocks and obstacles. It gives the KLX an impressive 12.4 inches of ground clearance and a definite edge in the “not getting stuck” category.

2013年11月25日 · As soon as I removed the 140's swinger, it became painfully obvious that the other one wouldn't work. So $360 later, I have a new klx140l swinger on the way. I also dropped the kx100 shock off at eastside fabrication to have the clevis extended 20mm and ordered a 5.2 spring from racetech as the stock klx140 spring will not swap over to the ...

Who's messed with a KLX 140? - Adventure Rider
2009年2月9日 · 55 mph is the estimated top speed of the 140, so I doubt 55 would be a long term cruising speed even with sprocket changes. I'm guessing 30 to 40 mph would be its cruising speed, & 40 would probably only work with higher gearing. The KLX 140 is a purpose built beginners/trail bike & I think it's fantastic at that job.
High Altitude Jetting - KLX 140L | Adventure Rider
2014年9月2日 · Turns out the lil' KLX 140L ran just as good at 11,000 feet as it did at 600 feet (minus the obvious reduction in HP). We even brought along 3 extra spark plugs, which were never needed. I guess the more simple air-cooled and small displacement motors are not as susceptible to elevation changes as the larger more high-strung motors?

2016年11月2日 · Traveller said the bike feels stable and planted yet nimble. It still does with these upgrades but I'm getting more of the suspension to use and it defintely soaks up the hits a ton better. It's like everything good about the stock suspension is amplified while still feeling like the KLX. I dig it. Thanks Rick
Successful KLX 140L SB5800 Conversion - Adventure Rider
2006年1月8日 · Purchased a new 2009 Kawasaki KLX 140 L (leftover inventory) from Motosport in Hillsboro, OR with plans of converting it to a dual sport for my 5’2” wife. It was definitely worth the 6 hour drive from Spokane to save $1500. I seriously wonder how dealers in my area stay in business.

2016年11月2日 · The stock KLX linkage one is too close for my big feets so if the splines match this might do it. If too long it's at least steel so a cut and weld could fix it up. Apparently someone or another used to make a KLX140L replacement lever but they stopped a few years ago.

2016年11月2日 · The Motoseat KLX 140 tall seat came in and I spent about an hour to install: Before: After: The new seat is taller by 1.5 inches and is a much firmer foam and better quality. The foam is noticeably heavier and denser also. The seat cover is nice and is as good or better than the OE part.
