2016年12月21日 · I already have an amp based on Alex Gendrano's KT88 SET design that used most of the power supply components from a organ chassis, and Edcor 15 watt OPTS. This sounds great and will take KT88, EL34, 6L6, 6550 etc. I want to build this one for KT120 specifically, with a switch that will allow me to also use KT150 when I get around to ordering them.

A Sterling 20th Anniversary Limited KT120 has power comparable to an 845 tube amp, but the tubes are much cheaper and consume less power. The KT120 is an excellent choice for audiophiles who dream of single-ended tube amps but fear they can’t drive speakers, ending up listening to small pieces all day.

Since the KT120 came out, I couldn’t stop thinking about it and finally I decided building an amplifier with this powerful device. Was a long search – as the tube is still young, there are not so many schematics. Finally I found “Le KT120” from Leven – looks good and is a proven schematic – thus I considered the power is a little low.
