My dad and I grew up with TV news anchor Matt Hammill on WQAD, then we followed his coverage when he went to KGAN, and watched him when he came back to the Quad Cities on KWQC. My dad recently turned on KWQC and realized he hadn't seen one of our favorite news anchors in a while.

2023年10月2日 · Local news is dying, a lot of smaller networks have merged with other to create larger regional markets. KWQC can't really afford the best newscasters, because those get swallowed up by larger markets with bigger budgets, so they tend to get the new grads or promote the interns who just want some experience.
