2001年11月5日 · Stock KX500 has more power than a KTM520 in my humble opinion. PS> for open (WFO) work, get the special FMF desert pipe, and add procircuit's copper base gasket and soften up the suspension, along with lacing up a 18" rear wheel.

2005年3月23日 · So it might be 5-10 hp on stock, but still, i'm flat shocked by this bike Fellow sportbikers teased me about getting a dirtbike, saying they "might be fast in the dirt, but they'd be slow on the street".... well they need to ride a 500 I used to have a 190 rwhp turbo crotchrocket, but now my KX500 is officially "the meanest bike i've owned"
Honda Cr500 ? | The Dirt Bike | Motocross - DirtRider.Net
2007年10月21日 · From the numbers I have seen, a CR250 is around 45-48 hp. CR500's have always been 55-60. KX500's are on top with 60-65. Where does Honda publish the horsepower of their bike? I've never seen any manufacturer publish their numbers except in an old Kawasaki service manual (which by the way said a 1988 KX250 made 53 hp at the flywheel).

He asked if I could locate any source for a compression release for late model 500's. He even stated he was thinking about...

380 EXC hp. | The Dirt Bike | Motocross - DirtRider.Net
2002年8月13日 · A highly tuned 380 would easily make over 60hp, but i doubt whether anyone could hang on, so the engineers designed the bike to have more useable power - at the expense of peak hp. The EXC will have less power as it has a heavier flywheel, and different powervalve setting, reed, muffler etc.
kx500 and pipes | The Dirt Bike | Motocross - DirtRider.Net
2003年1月30日 · I've searched the archives several times and have yet to find an objective critique of KX500 pipes. Some folks say that aftermarket pipes intentionally make less power but a flatter, more rideable torque curve and some say it makes more power. Quite frankly, unless you have a dyno sheet on back to back tests, it's really hard to tell.
KX500 too slow! | The Dirt Bike | Motocross | Supercross Forum at ...
2002年12月10日 · The Pro-Circuit pipe is the problem. I bought my 1989 KX500 used and it had a Pro-Circuit pipe on it. When I took it to Race Tech to get revalved, Paul Thede (the owner of Race Tech) asked me if I had the stock pipe. I said that I did. He said he would not bad mouth any competitor's product, but strongly suggested I try the stock pipe.
