Adair Regional Juvenile Detention Center was opened in 2000. It is a level 4 ma ximum security facility serving the entire commonwealth. The facility houses male juveniles 14 or older who have been charged with a violent or serious offense (C apital, Class A, B or C felony).The facility shares a campus with the Adair Youth Development Center.

Fayette Regional Detention Center is a high security level facility with 56 beds located in central Kentucky. The facility was built in 2005 and features a variety of programs and learning opportunities to the youth in its custody.
