Aberdour Castle has seen 500 years of noble living, serving as a residence to the powerful Mortimer, Randolph and Douglas families. Today, its ruined structures and roofed buildings show clearly how a medieval castle could be extended and adapted over time.

Aberdour Castle and Garden - Discover Scottish Gardens
Today visitors can explore the beautiful walled gardens which include an orchard with eighteen varieties of apples, aromatherapy plants and herbs including camomile, lemon balm, rosemary and lavender, Jerusalem sage, catmint and curry plant. No matter what the time of year there is always something interesting to see.
