2024年11月10日 · I do like Kato a lot, a good 60% of my locomotives are Katos. Because they make everything they sell, you can expect uniformity in different models. I do have quite a few Bachmann steams. Each model is as if they came from completely different companies. But some are smooth runners 2-6-2, 2-8-0, 4-8-4 Class J.

2019年12月20日 · Kato products are excellent across their entire spectrum. They make, in my opinion, the best N-scale locomotives available. They also make a few HO-scale locomotives. Kato sells gorgeous passenger train sets in N-scale and some sets in HO-scale as well.

2016年12月28日 · The Kato has a matte, textured and multicolour trackbed while the Bachmann has a plastic looking, shiny mono colour trackbed. Look at the ties, the Kato ties actually have great details and are a bit sunken in the bedding while the Bachmann ties just look like black plastic bits. 2022年8月28日 · So far, the only manufacturers I have found making N-Scale Diesels are Athearn, Atlas, Bachmann, Broadway Limited Imports (BLI), Kato, Micro-Trains (MTL), and Rapido. Seems like Kato is a solid first-pick, with Atlas being a soft second, and Bachmann and BLI both being beyond those two. Kato makes an NS EMD SD-70M I like the look of, #176-7605.

I recommend this because I get the kato when it first released and the hook x (original) for 4 month. The hook x has noticeable more detail, clear vocal and a little bit more soundstage. For me the kato vocal feel more natural and a bit meatier and one of the safe choice .
