The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-9R is a motorcycle in the Ninja sport bike series from Japanese manufacturer Kawasaki, produced from 1994 until 2003. There were five model incarnations across two basic designs. Kawasaki developed the ZX-9R in response to Honda's introduction of the CBR900RR Fireblade for the 1992 model year.

2024年1月10日 · The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-9R was a sports motorcycle dressed in a full fairing manufactured from 1994, when it replaced the GPZ900R, until 2003, when it was replaced by the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R.

For 1998, Kawasaki completely redesigned the ZX-9R. The basic roadgoing bias of the bike, with the relaxed riding position and generous chassis dimensions remained, but the character of the bike was fundamentally changed. Engine bore, stroke and redline remained unchanged; everything else was completely new.

Rather than a direct competitor, the ZX-9R was a more stable and more comfortable alternative to the Honda, with more straightline speed. The motor was held by a large, aluminium twin-beam frame similar to that of the ZZ-R1100, backed-up by an equally sturdy box-section alloy swingarm, with multi-adjustable suspension at each end.
