In industrial applications, it is common to use a fast-blow input fuse rated at just over 1.25 X the VFD's rated current. This is meant to save the VFD if something bad happens to the motor or inside the VFD. They are much faster than circuit breakers.

The single phase load (line side of your VFD or between the outlet and the VFD) will be 6.8A x 1.73 = 11.764A or 12A with a minimum wire size of 14 AWG.

2023年3月24日 · I have the KBAC 27 vfd unit hooked up to a 1.5HP motor running on 110v. I set the jumpers for 2x speed as well as the 1.5HP and the “sensitive” GFI. I fired it up to run the motor through its paces - once I got to around 8 of 10 on the vfd scale, the fault light came on and it decreased speed a bit.
