2021年1月6日 · The 90 mm Cockerill gun (also sold as the 90/46 KEnerga by MECAR), launched in around 1982, went through various stages of development. The Mk. 7 was a modification of the Mk. 6 and was itself modified and replaced by the Mk. 8 in 1992.

These cannon were designed and developed and are manufactured by MECAR SA, Petit-Roeulx-les-Nivelles, Belgium. Licensees. None for the 90/28, but a 1992 agreement between Cockerill and MECAR allows for both firms to manufacture the 90/46, which is also called the KEnerga Mark 8. More details on this agreement are provided below.

The 90-mm Mecar KEnerga Mk VIII gun system can be mounted in any armored fighting vehicle weighing 15,400 lb (7,000 kg) or more. Developed from the earlier 90/28 gun, the 90/46 is designed to provide both anti-tank and general-purpose artillery capability in light combat vehicles.
