The Dutch flag carrier airline KLM operates a fleet of 115 aircraft. The narrow-body fleet is composed of Boeing 737 Next Generation aircraft which will be replaced by Airbus A320neo family aircraft.

From late 2023, these new A320neo/A321neo aircraft will begin replacing KLM and Transavia’s existing Boeing 737 NG aircraft on European routes. Having previously opted for the Embraer 195-E2 aircraft for intra-European flights, this new order is an important step in enhancing sustainability, customer experience, comfort and efficiency.

Powered by CFM International LEAP-1A engines and fitted with 186 seats in a single-class configuration, the aircraft will be based at Paris-Orly airport, Transavia France’s main base.
