2017年4月25日 · The problem is that when I shoot it without the lead sled my groups open up to around 1.5". I'm using sandbags upfront and a sandbag to support the rear of the rifle. My thinking is that the rifle is recoiling inconsistently without the lead sled and that's where the difference is. I feel very steady when I'm shooting with or without the lead sled.

This gun was a Remington 700 Custom Shop AWR built in the late 90's and shot 1/2 moa with factory ammo when I loaned it to him to try out.

2007年12月7日 · I have seen two low end scopes go bad. They were replaced and broke again. I strongly believe it was because of their poor quality. I have been using a lead sled for almost two years and I shoot a lot of 375h&h and 300RUM and I have not had any problems. I am using Swaro scopes and Leupold VXIII scopes on those cal guns with no problems at all.

2016年5月13日 · How do most of you sight in your rifles a lead sled or sand bags. To me the sand bags would give a more natural recoil effect for the rifle. Where as the lead sled is almost a solid wall. Don't get me wrong some guns are alot more fun to shoot from the lead sled than the sand bags. Just wondering if there is any feedback out there about this topic.

What I like about the sled is craddles the back of the gun too, as opposed to just a sand bag in the front, a V in the front. It is also nice when doing lots of shooting of 30-06/
