The Ultimax 100 is a gas-operated automatic weapon (capable of fully automatic fire only) with a short-stroke gas piston operating system powered by ignited powder gases diverted from the barrel through a port in the gas block. 2004年6月26日 · If you bought a Andrewski/DLO Sterling from Recon Ordinance, ASI or FPC recently, it is likely an accurate Sterling Mk 4 L2A3 clone and will be built with Sterling manufactured parts (i.e. not Fazakerley). As I understand it, the Sten and Sterling tubes have the same diameter, but the cocking slots are different as is the tube length.

Starting from the Mk 4, the Ultimax can accept normal, unmodified STANAG magazines; [3] however, with the various modifications done to the magazine well, the Mk 4 Ultimax 100 cannot use Beta C-Mags or the proprietary 100-round drum magazines.
