Slack Wax is a mixture between oil and wax resulted from lubricating oil through chilling and distilling process of solvent filter pressing wax at Lubricating Oil Complex, Refinery Unit Pertamina IV Cilacap. Slack wax is produced in liquid form consisting of SPO, DAO, LMO dan MMO with production capacity 101 KTA/year.

SPO, LMO and DAO Slack Wax from Pertamina Cilacap Refinery unit RU-IV are offered in bulk, with tank truck/Isotank delivery of ±19 MT tank. More packaging options maybe be available upon discussion.

Slack waxes are obtained from the de-waxing of Group I and II lubricating oils at crude oil refineries. These waxes are specified according to their melting points and oil contents and exist over a wide range depending on the crude oil source from which the wax is derived.

Slack Wax is mixture of paraffin wax and oil originated from petroleum crude oil. Slack Wax oil content can range from 10% to 30%. Slack Wax is produced during the production of Group I lube base oil.

Slack wax is used in applications where colour and residual oil content will be of minor importance, e.g. impregnation, coating or hydrophobing of industrial products. Slack wax has a flashpoint of above 200 °C and an initial boiling point above 280 °C. It is not flammable according to UN GHS criteria, but will burn.
