London, Midland and Scottish Railway Jubilee Class 5593 (BR number 45593) named Kolhapur is a preserved British steam locomotive. 5593 was built in 1934 by the North British Locomotive Company of Glasgow, Works number 24151, and part of Lot 118, to a design by William Stanier.

Initially built with a low degree superheat domeless boiler, 5593 received a domed boiler in April 1937. 5593 hauled the train carrying Winston Churchill from Liverpool on his return from talks with President Roosevelt in 1942. After nationalisation in January 1948 it was renumbered 45593 by British Railways in December of that year.

2010年2月6日 · Past and Present - LMS 4-6-0 "Jubilee" 6P5F and 7P. Whilst not regular visitors to the GCR, these fine locos were the standard power on the Midland line. I am particularly fond of the engine featured here as at the end of its BR career 45593 Kolhapur was shedded at Burton and was a regular sight at my local haunts.

LMS 4-6-0 5XP Class No 5593 'Kolhapur' stands together with preserved GWR 4-6-0 No 7029 'Clun Castle' in the background on 7th May 1968. Built by the North British Locomotive Company to Lot 118 in December 1934, No 5593 received its name in May 1936 and had remained in service until October 1967 when it was withdrawn from 55A Holbeck shed.
