2007年5月4日 · LMT's port runs around 0.071 on the 10.5's as the upper was designed to run with a can. The difference in port size means that the LMT should NOT need heavy buffers when running without a can. I have had to open up an LMT gas port to 0.076" to make it run wimpy ammo reliably without a can.

2014年6月27日 · LMT just responded to an e-mail that I sent on this issue. They said to try a H buffer and, if it runs too hard for my liking on that, move to a H2. Keep in mind that the LMT 10.5" barrels have a smaller than normal gas port (.07" versus .09" as found on Colts, for example) so using a H3 is probably overkill. I'm probably going to just buy a H2.

FWIW Midway has the DD 10.3 barrel with FSB on sale for $281.61 ETA: I'm assuming you meant their standard SPM 10.5 upper, not the MRP. Disregard if not.

2018年9月2日 · I would not use the LMT enhanced carrier with the 10.5" mrp. It is not recommended by LMT. The altered cam pin channel on the enhanced carrier has the side effect of increasing bolt velocity, which is already an issue on the 10.5" barrels since they're over gassed. Bootleg or Gemtech carrier is the way to go, or get a Surefire socom 556rc2.

2015年10月9日 · But it fits my 10.5 inch noveske barrel perfectly.... my 10.5 with AAC 51t brake and 762sdn6 has just enough clearance. Any tighter and after everything heats up, it may be difficult to take apart. Usually 1/2 an inch is all it takes. My Seekins 10.5 inch with 10 inch rail is just as tight, and AAC 9 inch with KAC URX4 8.5 inch fits perfect also.

2019年12月8日 · LMT 10.5" here, H2 buffer only. Not a fan of extra power recoil springs, seems like people use them for overgassed barrels. A good and fresh stock recoil spring through break in, replace at 10,000 rounds. Admittedly, I don't shoot cheap steel case Wolf ammo in any of my rifles, but occasionally 223 pressure quality ammo.

2007年10月28日 · this lot of 15x lmt 10.5" uppers with lmt standard format full auto bolt carrier groups, larue 7.0 forends, and pri gas busters went three mags each, much of it full auto, without a single malfunction of any sort.
