Sports as opposed to movies on the other hand doesn't require a high contrast projector and other then motion handling is less demanding on any projector.

What’s been the consensus for picture quality for the most recent ones that have been released? How is the upscaling processing as well? Edit: not for gaming though if the input lag is 40-55 ms. Way too high.

Currently leaning laser + ALR due to the environment the projector will be in: Max throw of 11' - trying to get 110" White ceilings (treatment, maybe, but not on the table currently) Lightish walls

2023年7月10日 · In my case installation wise actually the 3800 would be easier. I would just put it on the console at the back of the room, whereas I would have to mount the LS500 on the ceiling because of my existing huge center speaker. I also have a common matt white Draper 120' screen that I am not planning to replace (with an ALR or otherwise).

2020年8月26日 · Got my LS500 + Vividstorm 120" ALR screen recently. Now I'm really struggling to get uniformly sharp picture. There's a lens shift adjustment (via a physical lever), but it seems to be a trade-off between focused centre of the screen and out of focus corners (particularly top left) or focused corners and out of focus centre.

2022年9月6日 · Then you can pull the unit backwards until the side touch the side of your screen. However, based on your photo, I do think the screen is going to have to go up a bit. Alternatively since you built the console, you can lower the height of the board where the LS500 is sitting on once you have it squared so you know how much you need to lower it all.

2021年4月8日 · Hey guys, I just received the Epson EpiqVision Ultra LS500. First off, even though it recommends up to a 130" screen, I am running it on a 165" screen with no focus problems, and it looks amazing. Minimal distortion in corners - not enough to be noticeable really. The image detail in both 4K and 1080p content looks amazing.

2021年8月7日 · It is our basement, which doubles as general media room and kids play area. The tape on the wall indicates the screen size of the 120'' screen that comes with the LS500. This room has a decent amount of ambient light, with lots of windows (see pictures). So I believe the LS500 will be better than a traditional ceiling-mounted projector.
