One Landing Craft Tank (LCT), tanks, wheeled and tracked vehicles, artillery, construction equipment and military supplies. A ramp or elevator forward allowed vehicles access to tank deck from main deck.

USS LST-461, a 2366-ton LST-1 class tank landing ship, was built at Vancouver, Washington. Commissioned in February 1943, her wartime service was spent in the Asiatic-Pacific theater. In 1944, she participated in the Saipan, Tinian and Leyte operations. During the first months of 1945, LST-461 took part in landings at Lingayen Gulf and Okinawa.
