Transport for London LT1-LT1000 are 2012-18 Wrightbus New Routemaster buses. In December 2009, Wrightbus was awarded the contract to built 8 prototype units of the New Bus for London design. Following testing, a contract for 600 units at an estimated cost of £160 million was awarded by reelected mayor Boris Johnson in September 2012.

The pre-production prototypes and first production buses featured an engine built to the Euro V European emission standard.
