Lahu Na (Black Lahu) is the northern and standard Lahu dialect and is spoken in most of Yunnan, China, in Kengtung District of Shan State, Myanmar and in most parts of Thailand. It should not be confused with Lahu Aga (Black Lahu of Laos or Kucong (Black Lahu of Vietnam).

Lahu are the 24th largest ethnic group and the 23rd largest minority in China. They numbered 485,966 and made up 0.04 percent of the total population of China in 2010 according to the 2010 Chinese census.

2020年8月27日 · The Lahu Na (Black Lahu) are the most numerous in terms of population, and Lahu Na is the most commonly understood dialect (Bradley 1979). Other dialects are relatively mutually unintelligible, with some in addition being heavily influenced by the languages of the various countries in which their speakers live.

As they migrated, they divided into two groups: the 'Lahu Na' (White Lahu) who took the western route, settling down in the Lincang, Lancang, Mengbian and Menggai area, and the 'Lahu Pu' or 'Lahu Xi' (Yellow Lahu), who took the southern route, along Ailao Mountain, and made their home in the area near Jindong, Simao, Mojiang and Yuanjiang.
