Written by Chiaki J. Konaka, whose other works include Texhnolyze, Serial Experiments Lain is a psychological avant-garde mystery series that follows Lain as she makes crucial choices that will affect both the real world and the Wired. In closing one world and opening another, only Lain will realize the significance of their presence.

2023年2月5日 · Despite being released in 1998 the Dub for Serial Experiments Lain isn’t bad at all, especially relative to most anime dubbed at the time. While neither show has any explicit or sexual content, they are both definitely not made for a younger audience - as was the case with the a lot of the anime originally released in the 1990s.

2022年3月15日 · Serial Experiments Lain is my 5th highest ranked anime TV series of all time. It is a more adult oriented series, that handles a lot of very strange things with a very experimental approach. I think it's amazing and its highly recommended to be watched twice.

I'm wondering what your thoughts are on the significance of the splotchy shadows and light reflected off Lain's Father's glasses and all the other places in which there is a strong glow.
