Lebaa, (Arabic: لبعا) is a municipality in the Jezzine District of the South Governorate of Lebanon, about 53 km south of Beirut. [1] In 1838, Eli Smith noted Liba'ah, as a village located in "Aklim et-Tuffah, adjacent to Seida ". [2]

Lebaa is a Lebanese local authority which is located in Jezzine District at an altitude of 350 m above sea level, it is an administrative division of South Lebanon Governorate. The municipality is member of Federation of Jezzine Municipalities.

The Jezzine District (Arabic: قضاء جزين) is a district in the South Governorate of Lebanon. The capital is Jezzine.

Jezzine (Jezzine), 22 km from Saidon (Saida, Sidon), is the most famous summer and touristic resort of South Lebanon because of its beautiful landscape and its 40m high waterfalls. Vital public facilities contributed in making Jezzine the most important town in the area.

Surrounded by mountain peaks, pine forests (like the Bkassine Pine Forest), and at an average altitude of 950 m (3,117 ft), it is the main summer resort and tourist destination of South Lebanon. The town is also known in Lebanon for the shrine of Our Lady of the Waterfall.
