2024年4月19日 · Thank you tas6691. The first time I handled a Les Baer was while I was in the Army and stationed in Hawaii back around 1996-1997. I was amazed at the fit and finish. I handled one again around 2009 - 2010 and thought the same - a well made, smooth, tight, pistol. I wish I would have bought one 20 years ago!

2022年2月7日 · My personal opinion having owned both. Les Baer cuts a lot of corners in his builds. So if aesthetics are big to you get a WC. Also Les Baer's sight options are crap too. All that said, Baer builds a very accurate gun. Wilson is a better gun in just about every facet. However your looking at buying one of those new hybrid 1911 offerings they offer.

2024年11月21日 · My first les baer, my first "nice" 1911. I hoped this thing would run. I was not disapointed! It didn't stop running untill I ran out of ammo. A typical rainy WA day and 1,120 rounds later, I'm extremely happy with it. The gun was pretty tight out the box. It came with 2 tripp cobra 10rd mags and the 2nd worst sights ive used (glock is #1).

2016年12月13日 · Les does not drill the roll pin hole all the way through the slide like some other makers do, so that slightly complicates the swap since you need to drill the old roll pin out. I know what height I need (.200) to make the correction that I want. Since Les does not offer a "Les Baer .200 replacement front sight", I can't just order that from him.

2018年1月12日 · Les Baer is tighter usually more accurate but has pretty poor fine details and finish as well as made to different specs so aftermarket parts fitment can be challenging. DW has better sights and a much better finish is still very accurate …

2021年6月19日 · Les Baer's take some shortcuts that will not be apparent unless the gun is shot 10's of thousands of rounds. The particular gun in question had a barrel foot break off. Here is a link to the video where he reads a well known gunsmiths comment on the build.

2022年7月16日 · Being a 1911 fanatic, Les Baer makes an insanely nice gun for the price. Dan Wesson also makes a nice gun but its nowhere close to a baer (ive owned several of both). That being said, Lea Baer's customer service SUCKS ASS while DW will do everything possible to make you happy.
