My research harnesses the synergy between a principled algebraic perspective and innovative machine learning to develop versatile and scalable methods for 3D Vision and Geometry. I am a Ph.D. student working with the Graphics & AI Group.

My Research Interests lie in Machine Learning and its application in Computer Vision and Natural Language Processing. Beyond using Machine Learning to discover rules and structures already known to us intuitively or empirically, I’m more passionate about developing Machine Learning methods to learn more intricate structures from data.

Liyan Chen received the B.E. degree from the School of Electronic Information and Electrical Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China, in 2020, where he is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree. His research interests primarily include high-performance near-memory computing architecture and software codesign.
