I am a Professor of Computer Science, a designated University of Illinois Scholar (Chicago, Springfield, Urbana-Champaign), a founder and Director of the UIC Institute for Equitable Health Data Science Research, and a faculty member of the Electronic Visualization Laboratory (EVL) at the University of Illinois Chicago.

I am a computer scientist working in scientific modeling and data visualization. My work draws on and extends ideas from computer graphics and visualization, medical imaging, differential geometry, and applied mathematics.

I am an Associate Professor of Computer Science and a faculty member of the Electronic Visualization Laboratory at the University of Illinois at Chicago. The lab's research pages are the best place to learn more about my current work.

I am always looking to recruit new PhD, Masters and undergraduate students to work on human-centered data science research. PhD students are guaranteed funding for the duration of their studies, as long as they maintain good academic progress. Masters positions are sometimes funded, primarily via research assistantships.
