While packages are available for many Linux distros, the AppImage provided at lmms.io/download is the preferred installation method. As of LMMS 1.3.0-alpha, 32-bit (x86) builds of the software are no longer released, and its support has been deprecated.

With LMMS, sounds and tones can be generated, played, and artfully arranged to create entire tracks with ease.
