One of the university’s 10 campus-wide interdisciplinary research units, IHSI creates and manages core infrastructure essential to the health sciences. Our support services encompass all stages of research, from early planning and design through award management.

Interdisciplinary Health Sciences Institute (IHSI) supports faculty-driven research at Illinois by organizing our campus around health challenges, team-building, coordinating projects, and managing grant efforts.

IHSI provides data that empowers political decision-makers and payer organisation negotiators to drive for better pricing in medicinal products. IHSI data enables healthcare systems to prepare for disruptive technologies through data insights that deliver the leverage required to confidently assess new products coming to market.

This is an exciting and opportunistic time to be joining the Interdisciplinary Health Sciences Institute as director. Over the past eight years, under the leadership of Prof. Neal Cohen and an outstanding team, IHSI has grown tremendously and positioned itself as a resource, a connector, and an enabler for the health sciences across campus.
