2024年12月28日 · Gfr declines with age. If this is an egfr (estimated from creatnine) is might be reflecting high protein intake or low hydration. Muscle loss (temporary or not and sometime medication related) is another factor that can increase creatnine levels. Collage supplementation and creatine supplementation can affect the blood levels of creatnine.

2020年9月23日 · Just officially diagnosed ckd stage 3 June this year but doc has been monitoring. December 2018 GFR 56. June 2020 GFR 48. Was not given any thing other than water daily excersise and reduce alcohol. After research on ckd it looks very serious. Called doc back few days after appt for more info. Came with plant based low protein diet.

2023年7月9日 · I would agree the two major elements to my success in raising my GFR is diet and exercise. My diet is low in sodium, sugar, magnesium, potassium and phosphorus. That means focusing on foods that are high quality proteins such as vegetables, fruit, poultry and fish. I usually cook everything myself to control seasoning ingredients.

2022年9月5日 · So about a week ago out of no where, she suddenly started having kidney issues for the first time ever, and her eGFR dropped so dramatically within a day, when it's been fine the entire time at this hospital. She suddenly, in 1 day, got the point of kidney failure and is also now on emergency dialysis, on top of everything else.

2024年9月25日 · It seems to me that whatever is causing the low GFR involves a change made after the 112 reading. Some synthetic B12 supplements contain cyanocobalamin or aluminum. Our kidneys don't process either very well so you could have a build up affecting your kidneys. High doses of B12 have been noted in association with faster decline of kidney function.

2023年4月12日 · A recent blood test result said my eGFR is 99, my albumin is 4.9, my globulin is 2.2, my A/G ratio is 2.2, and creatinine is 0.85. I know these are all in the normal range, but according to Mayo Clinic, CDC, and the National Kidney Foundation, I thought someone of my age should have a higher eFGR (more like 116).
