The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB; Filipino: Lupon sa Prangkisa at Pamamahala ng Transportasyong Panlupa [1]) is an agency of the Republic of the Philippines under the Department of Transportation (DOTr). The LTFRB was established on June 19, 1987, during the former president Corazon Aquino’s administration.

Established to ensure the efficient and orderly operation of public land transportation services, the LTFRB is tasked with granting franchises, setting and regulating fares, and implementing policies promoting safety and convenience for operators and passengers.
