Lyria was a small kingdom in the north that, prior to Meve's marriage to Reginald of Rivia, was an independent kingdom. After their princess married Rivia's king though, the two kingdoms combined into one, forming Lyria and Rivia .

Lyria and Rivia is a name used while referring to a confederation of realms in Dol Angra, composed primarily of Lyria and Rivia. Joined for the first time by King Berrik, it collapsed and reorganized again a couple times more, which led to saying that "Lyria and Rivia were either at war with each other or conjoined by personal union."

In the Witcher universe, Meve is the queen of Lyria and Rivia. She is popular among her subjects and is determined to protect her realms. In 1258, during a drought, she visited her kingdoms to assess the condition of her people. She also spearheaded a campaign to reclaim Rivia from Nilfgaardian control.

The kingdom of Lyria and Rivia is a northern realm, located north of the river Yaruga, ruled by Queen Meve. The kingdom's neighbors are Mahakam, Aedirn and Dol Angra. Spoiler warning: Significant plot details follow. One July, during the Second Nilfgaardian War, the Empire invaded and conquered Lyria and Rivia without any formal declaration of war.

After being dethroned she managed to rally a partisan army, fight the invading Nilfgaardians in guerrilla warfare, reunite the leaders of the North against the Black Ones, and retake her kingdoms!

Oddzielona była od Temerii górami Mahakam na zachodzie. Kraj ten poważnie ucierpiał podczas wojny z Nilfgaardem, został niemal doszczętnie zniszczony.

2022年1月24日 · In Witcher 3 we meet her son, who is still a prince, at a tournament in a Nilfgard controlled area. Her son had received a letter from her, so she's still alive. Furthermore, if Nilfgard and Lyria and Rivia were at war, it would have made sense for them to try to capture her son or at least get them on their side, no?
