2023年6月10日 · M1 Carbines are - IMHO - some of the most fun guns to own and shoot. The problem is that as time passes ammo is getting hard to find and expensive when you do find it. You can shoot a 5.56mm AR cheaper than a .30 Carbine and ammo is very available.

2024年12月6日 · IMHO, get what appeals to you. As far as having any reliability issues the armorers at the CMP will make things right. While there is certainly appeal to having an ‘authentic’ rifle, finding a truly ‘original’ M1, or finding the parts to restore one can be very expensive and would tend to deter the owner from shooting it.

2019年12月16日 · Many of the M1 Garands imported from Korea had barrels with T&E of 2 or 3 but muzzles that were "wiped out". I was informed it was from using the rifles in grenade launching practice. To make the last batch of M1 Garands more saleable Arlington Ordnance started the rebuild and rebarreling program. They also started assembling "Tanker" M1 Garands.

2009年4月5日 · The barrel markings reflect 'Blue Sky - Arlington, VA.'; the serial number is 4349706. Under the rear sight, just above the serial number, it looks like it stamped "POS-TER". Do you have any information on this M1, when it was made, and who is 'Blue Sky'? Also, I read that you were looking for one from IBM.

2016年12月2日 · To an M1 rifle, grease is grease is grease. I use high pressure high temp wheel bearing grease. Get a 1# tub at Wally World for about 5 bucks. That tub of grease will last you about 20 life times. Keep it simple, don't over think it. Jon

hi everyone, I finally got my M1 and I have some regular 30-06 ammo I got for now that Id like to use. I read about getting a gas plug with adjustable gas ports, then I've also seem some that aren't adjustable but they say they still make it safe to shoot commercial 30-06 ammo in the M1.
